    About Us

    Welcome to CareerDoor

At CareerDoor, we believe that every Nigerian graduate deserves access to clear, honest, and practical career guidance — not the kind that sounds good on paper but falls apart in real life, but the kind that actually helps you get hired, grow professionally, and build an income you can depend on.

We built this platform with one question in mind: why is it so hard for talented Nigerians to find reliable information about building a career or earning online?

The answer, unfortunately, is that most of what exists is either too general to be useful, too expensive to access, or simply not designed with the Nigerian reality in mind. CareerDoor exists to change that.

    Who We Are

CareerDoor is a Nigerian career development platform dedicated to helping graduates and young professionals navigate the job market, develop in-demand skills, and explore legitimate ways to earn in both naira and foreign currency through freelancing and remote work.

We are not a recruitment agency. We do not place candidates in jobs or take commissions from employers. What we do is provide well-researched, honest, and actionable content that empowers you to take your career into your own hands.

Every article, guide, and resource published on this platform is written with the Nigerian professional in mind, taking into account the realities of our job market, our economy, and the opportunities that exist both locally and globally.

    What We Cover

CareerDoor focuses on two core areas that we believe matter most to Nigerian graduates and young professionals today.

    Career Advice and Professional Development

From writing a CV that actually gets read, to preparing for interviews at Nigerian banks, tech startups and multinational companies, to understanding how to negotiate a salary and grow within your chosen field, we cover the full journey of professional life in Nigeria. Our guides are grounded in how the Nigerian job market actually works, not how it is supposed to work in theory.

    Freelancing and Remote Work

The global digital economy has opened doors that did not exist a generation ago. A Nigerian with the right skill and an internet connection can earn in dollars from clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and beyond. We cover freelancing platforms, in-demand digital skills, payment solutions for Nigerians, and realistic income expectations so you can make informed decisions about building an online income stream.

    Interview Techniques

Getting shortlisted is only half the battle. At CareerDoor, we help you prepare for what happens in that interview room, from answering competency-based questions common in Nigerian banks and multinationals, to handling salary discussions without underselling yourself, to knowing exactly how to follow up after the interview is done. Our guides are written for the Nigerian hiring environment specifically, because a generic list of interview tips is not enough when you are competing for roles in one of the most demanding job markets on the continent.

    Our Commitment to You

We take our responsibility to our readers seriously. CareerDoor is committed to publishing content that is:

Accurate. We research every topic thoroughly and update our content when things change. We do not publish income claims or career advice that we cannot substantiate with real information.

Relevant. Everything on this platform is tailored to the Nigerian context. We reference Nigerian companies, Nigerian platforms, naira and dollar income figures, and the specific challenges that Nigerian professionals face.

Free from bias. We do not accept payment to promote specific employers, courses, or platforms. When we recommend a tool or resource, it is because we genuinely believe it serves our readers well.

Practical. Our goal is always to give you something you can act on. Not just information for its own sake, but guidance that moves you forward in a real and meaningful way.

    Why CareerDoor?

Nigeria produces hundreds of thousands of graduates every year. Many of them are intelligent, hardworking, and full of potential. But the gap between graduating and building a stable, fulfilling career is wide, and the information needed to bridge that gap is not always easy to find.

CareerDoor exists to be the resource we wish had existed when we were starting out. A place where a fresh graduate in Enugu, a young professional in Kano, or a freelancer building their business in Lagos can come and find clear answers to the questions that matter most to their career.

We are not here to tell you that success is easy or that there are shortcuts. There are not. What we can tell you is that with the right information, the right skills, and the right strategy, building a career and an income you are proud of in Nigeria is entirely possible.

That is what CareerDoor is for.
